About Us

My Photo
Michelle
Rob and I met at Western High School, in an art class, on Valentine's Day of 1989. That Harris boy fell head over heels for this Johnson girl (and visa-versa!!) and the rest...is history. We were married on my birthday in 1990. Terrifically still madly in love, we are the parents of five amazing, active, gorgeous and talented children. Rob is a police officer and I am a hausfrau. We stay busy with church, sports, scouts, young women, dance, school and hobbies. Most of our down time is spent hanging out with the kids, reading good books, watching good movies and going to dinner with great friends.

Quoteworthy

"Fathers and Mothers are needed who will rise and stand upon their feet to make of their homes sanctuaries...If our society is coming apart at the seams, it is because the tailor and the seamstress in the home are not producing the kind of stitching that will hold under stress." -Gordon B. Hinckley

"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he's been robbed. The fact is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old-time rail journey...delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling burts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride." -Jenkin Lloyd Jones

"The best way to protect your children from the wrong messages is to see that they are exposed to the right ones."

"Be slow to take offense."

"If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world." -C. S. Lewis

"It is in the home that we form our attitudes, our deeply held beliefs. It is in the home that hope is fostered or destroyed. Our homes are to be more than sanctuaries; they should also be places where God’s Spirit can dwell, where the storm stops at the door, where love reigns and peace dwells." -Thomas S. Monson

The Deepening

look forward to the deepening
the spreading
the finding
the being

settle well

feel the humming
of the soul
the light
the peace
the knowing

be comfortable
be you
be teachable
grow
deep in the soul
grow

let life bloom
with age
be undiminished
be true
be real

push down
deepen
