I woke up to the sweetest note on my laptop that he thought I wouldn't find until after he left for work this morning. What a man! Our 20th wedding anniversary is a month away and I love him more and More and MORE!

For some crazy reason he loves me too. Even though I now look like the new face of Revlon, ...er, The Michelin Tire Company...move over Bibendum. (That's the Michelin Man's name, in case ya didn't know.) The irony of my name being Michelle and feeling/looking like the MICHELin man has not escaped me, by the way.

Sadly, with all this prednisone swelling I had to go see a firefighter friend and have my wedding rings cut off last Thursday. I can't believe I had forgotten to take them off! Rob never liked my rings anyway. He always wanted to get me something nicer but I wouldn't even think of it. (I don't fit the "girl" mode. Jewelry and flowers and shopping do nothing for me. But love notes...ah, there's where he makes me all twitterpated.)

PS...He made detective. I'm very proud of him!
